Fluccs acquires Exigent Australia, Virtual DC and 10TB Servers.
Expands Australian footprint; provides local alternative for IaaS and Managed Cloud services
Fluccs – The Australian Cloud (Fluccs), a leading Australian provider of Managed Cloud Services, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Hosting to Australian and International businesses, not-for-profit, corporate and government clients, today announced its acquisition of Exigent Australia, Virtual DataCentre and 10TB Servers.
Fluccs, headquartered in Brisbane, is 100% Australian owned and operated with over 20 years’ experience providing hosted Cloud services to the Australian market. The acquisition of Exigent Australia and associated brands expands Fluccs’ national service capacity, including its colocation services, with Data Centre capacity added in Sydney and Melbourne.
“We are excited to be growing in the face of international corporations expanding into Australia.” said Angus Thomson, Founder and CEO of Fluccs. “We strongly believe there will always be a place for Australian companies that provide local service from local infrastructure.
“The addition of Exigent Australia clients and infrastructure into the Fluccs family further increases our service capability and means we can continue to offer high quality, reliable services at extremely competitive price points.”
Fluccs servers are located at NEXTDC’s flagship Data Centre “B1” in Brisbane. B1 is Queensland’s most fibre-connected commercial Data Centre, benefiting from the diverse fibre-network infrastructure in the Brisbane CBD. The Exigent Australia acquisition adds servers located at Equinix Data Centres in Sydney and Melbourne.
“Merging our infrastructure and service offering with the Fluccs Australian Cloud business is an extremely positive move for Exigent Australia clients and for the Fluccs business nationally. We are impressed with Fluccs’ client satisfaction ethos, its focus on keeping data in Australia, its security measures and its competitive pricing. I am looking forward to becoming part of the Fluccs team and growing this successful Australian business”, said John Wooler, Founder and Managing Director of Exigent Australia.
