Your new email account can be easily configured on your smartphone device!
Before you can access your email account through your mobile phone, the email mobile app will require some specific configuration.
Here is the information you will need:

Name: the name of your email user (e.g. John Smith)
Address: your email address (e.g. user@yourdomainname.com)
Password: the password for your email address.
Description: a short description of your email account (e.g. John’s Mail)
POP/IMAP/SMTP/Host Name Server:  smartermail.myownserver.net

To set up your email on an Android phone: #

1. Open the Settings app
2. Search for the Add Account section
3. Provide the email address (user@yourdomain.com) and press MANUAL SETUP
4. Next, you will be able to choose the type of email account you will be using
   We recommend the IMAP protocol because it will keep your messages on the server after you download them on a local device.
5. You will need to fill in your username and password again and tap Next
6. Next, you will have to enter the incoming server settings:
   Username: user@yourdomain.com
   Password: the password for your email account
   Port and Security Type: Select IMAP, and then:
   Secure – Port: 993 and Security Type: SSL/TLS (recommended)
   Insecure – Port: 143 and Security Type: None 
7. When you complete filling in the information, tap Next, and continue with the outgoing server settings:
   Username: user@yourdomain.com
   Password: the password for your email account
   Port & Security Type
   Secure: Port 587 and Security Type: SSL/TLS
   Insecure: Port: 25 and Security Type: None 
8. Tap Next and choose the preferred sync frequency options.
9. Lastly, press Next and your email account will be ready to use with your phone.
